From the minute Alex laid eyes on the Tuscan countryside while studying abroad in college, it became her dream to one day get married in a villa in Tuscany. When she met David, one of their first big trips they took together as a couple was to beautiful Italy. Years later when David proposed, COVID-19 Pandemic hit, Alex saw her dreams of her Tuscan wedding slowly fading away. However, fate was on her side- one day she opened up the AirBnB search pages and found: “Villa Bellissima Alba - Italy comes to CA.” If they couldn’t travel to Italy, she couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. The house was a stunning custom built Tuscan villa set upon 40 acres with sweeping views of Knights Valley, Mt. St. Helena, and Peter Michael Vineyards with an outdoor kitchen set among aged olive and fig trees - It was a dream come true. On Saturday September 26, Alex and David said their vows in front of their immediate family overlooking Calistoga vineyards. Everything felt as if we were truly in Tuscany- from the music, to the Bistecca alla Fiorentina and focaccia made by their private chef, to the wine. The bride and groom also did not fall short of adding their personal touches to the day: The Bride’s dress combined two unique pieces together to make her breathtaking dress, the wooden altar was hand-made by the groom, their custom cocktails and boarding pass-invitation inserts reminded guests that they would be traveling in their imagination to Italy, their family threw in a glow-stick welcome tunnel, and the home was sprinkled with photos of them and their families throughout. Their ceremony followed with a traditional chinese tea ceremony, a dinner prepared by a private chef under the olive trees dripping with string lights followed and they laughed and happy-cried their way through the night with unforgettable toasts, eats and dancing, bringing together two beautiful families forever as one.
