Vashon Island Beach-Front Cottage Micro-Wedding: Eric & Ashley

When Eric and Ashley got engaged, they had their site set on eloping in Paris. But then they got hit by a couple of surprises: 1) Covid-19 Pandemic and 2.) They found out they were pregnant!!  Instead, they decided to take the route of a ‘micro-wedding’ and create a laid back yet classic outdoor party for their closest family and friends.  They found a serene Airbnb cottage which opened up to the beach on the edge of Vashon Island in Washington.  They set up one long table on the porch beach-front, said their vows right at the corner of the deck and celebrated over Grandma’s pasta surrounded by fresh elegant greens. It was the perfect day.

Ashley and Eric’s meeting was the best coincidence.  From the bride: “I was on my roommate's Tinder date and (also had a date) on a random Thursday night at a sports bar to watch the Warriors. Eric laid eyes on me as we were walking in and he bought me a drink before my date showed up. I quickly rushed him away after getting his phone number. Later on in the night, Eric came back for me thinking the date would be a dude. The experience was so awkward, I was the one to text him the next day & the rest is history. I knew he was the one from the moment he made me dinner for the first time.”

I masked up, hopped on the Washington State Ferry on a Saturday morning and floated over to Vashon Island to help capture this beautiful day. Here are some photos from their wedding!
